What kind of library would he find on a ghost train?
“Why are you not coming in?” Eli asked. “What’s in there?”
“Letters and stuff. I’m not comfortable with it.”
“Letters?”
“Every letter and postcard or mail anyone’s ever addressed to you. Even if they weren’t sent. Even after your death.”

When death holds the man of your dreams, and life the man of your nightmares–which do you choose?

Seth finds himself alone at an abandoned train station, with no idea what happened, or how he got there. He boards a train, only to discover it’s a special express transporting the recently deceased to their final destination. The conductor tells him he’s having a near-death experience. Seth wonders if it has something to do with his violent boyfriend, but that doesn’t matter. All that matters is getting the hell off the train before he actually dies. But when he spots his best friend and secret crush among the traveling dead, the urge to leave fades…

“God, we’re screwed—you’re dead and I let my boyfriend beat me up in exchange for a little affection.”
Carter raised one hand to run his fingers into Seth’s hair. “You shouldn’t have to do that for affection.” He dug his fingers in a little harder, betraying his frustration. “I can’t even begin to tell you how much I want to get off this train with you so I could love you the way you deserve.”
Seth closed his eyes and leaned back, focusing on the warmth of Carter’s body, the way he smelled. “You could love me right now.”
“I want more than now.”

“You can’t be serious.”
“I’m serious as a heart attack.”
“Did you have a heart attack?”
“No.” Carter jumped off his bed and stood in front of Seth. He was a bit taller than him, but not as tall as Tony. Not towering. “I mean, I don’t know,” he corrected himself. “I don’t remember how I died.”

This is from the first chapter of For Never and Always

forneverandalways“What are you doing here?” Carter sounded like he wasn’t happy to see Seth at all, like somehow all of this wasn’t a dream or a prank or a hallucination but Seth had really managed to nearly die somehow. And if that was the case, and everyone on this train but him was dead, then…
No. That couldn’t be true.
But Carter still looked at him with barely concealed horror on his face and Seth wasn’t waking up, and he didn’t know what to think anymore.
